The name Bàne Movû is derived from the Wareneese language, as Bàne Movû was founded by Mel Èlkèj, who was culturaly Wareneese.
Climate
Bàne Movû has a yearly average temperature of 8°C (46°F), with its average temperature during the summer being an icy 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant -10°C (14°F). Bàne Movû receives an average of 301 cm/y (118 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Bàne Movû covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 2024 m (6640 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Bàne Movû was founded durring the late 14th century in summer of the year 1285, by Mel Èlkèj. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Mel Èlkèj.
Bàne Movû was built using the conventions of Wareneese durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Bàne Movû is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.
Bàne Movû is was constructed arround several narrow split-log ties mainstreets which cross one another at certain axies, with smaller streets branching off of them to premit acess to the many buildings deeper into the road network. The overall fashion is remenessent of a circulatory system, or other organic construct, and is quite effishent in its design. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. The town's millitarily questionable fortifications are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.
Bàne Movû is not quite well. Something happened here, perhapse recently, perhapse long ago. Whatever it was, it settled into the very soul of the town like a festering wound. The people go about their day well enough, but there’s a tention in the air you can cut with a knife. There’s a patern to the panic. It’s not easy to see, and no one quite agrees on what it is, but the locals know and operate under this pattern. It shapes everything they do, and you feel as if you’ve almost worked it out only for some small detail to devastate your theory every time you try and comprehend it.
Civic Infrastructure
Bàne Movû has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Bàne Movû. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Bàne Movû's parks.
Bàne Movû has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Bàne Movû.
Bàne Movû has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.
Bàne Movû has a Department of Firefighters, which is responsible for organizing fire fighting efforts during a fire and enforcing local ordinances relating to fire safety.
Bàne Movû has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.
Bàne Movû has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Bàne Movû's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.
Bàne Movû has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Bàne Movû's natural decorations nor waterways.
Bàne Movû has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.
Bàne Movû has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.
Cultural Notes
Bàne Movû's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known for its fluid and florid elaborate style, comprising ornate, asymmetric designs and pastel shades. It is often considered to be a playful, light style, which made exuberant use of curves and emphasized subtle asymmetry in the general shape of its structures. Walls, ceilings and moldings are decorated with numerous interlacing of curves and counter-curves based on the shapes of ‘C’ and ‘S’, along with shell forms and other naturalistic shapes.
Due to the actions of local Kami, winter is long in Bàne Movû.
The Herd Animal, Stag near Bàne Movû are known to be more aggressive than normal.
Bàne Movû's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves reenactments to channel Abjuration energies of tier 1 via oratory performances.
Economy

Bàne Movû has access to some sort of functioning ancient infrastructure, whether it's an array of wall-mounted arcane energy projectors, running water, moving roadways, community-wide climate control, or some other inherited luxury. This infrastructure may be the result of a still-functional Working, or it could be the product of some venerable occult engine that's still operational, or it may be the fruit of the labors of some specially-designed organism or Blighted populace.
Bàne Movû's is something of a geological and arcane anomaly, as neither physical nor magical law entirely explains its formation.
POI
History
In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Bàne Movû was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Bàne Movû lost 130 people, 393 livestock, and 57 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 70, when members of Bàne Movû's militia enacted an operation to deliver a message to a particular depot, then reinforce it. The operation was complicated by an outbreak of plague which struck the ranks, killing many and laying low many more. The conflict ended with the defense of the depot against a siege, which ended in a crushing defeat for Bàne Movû's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Bàne Movû's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
